IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED?
Yes. A deposit of 50% of the quoted fee is required in order to reserve any agreed upon time and date. The easiest way to do this is either via PayPal, or in person. The remainder is due before or on the day of the session.
HOW MANY IMAGES DO I GET?
A legitimate question. Let me explain...
Most portrait sessions last between one and two hours (senior portraits, maternity sessions, family portraits, engagement sessions, etc) and during that time we capture a bunch of images. During post-processing, we select the best images from the set and include them in your gallery. This typically includes 20-40 images.
While the level of wedding photography coverage you select ultimately determines the amount of images captured throughout the day, our most popular wedding photography coverage options typically include 300-400 edited high-resolution images in the final gallery.
HOW DO I PURCHASE MY PHOTOGRAPHS?
Purchasing your images should be fun! Below you'll find two of the most common ways you can purchase your photographs.
DIGITAL FILES VIA DOWNLOAD
This really is the most diverse option for you and your family. How this works is we email you a private link to an online gallery that includes a password and a download pin number. The password allows you and anyone you share it with to access the gallery to view the images. Once in the gallery, you'll see an option to download individual images or the ENTIRE GALLERY using the provided pin number. Also included with the high-resolution digital files is a print release which allows you to print the images anywhere you'd like for your personal use. Rad right!
*The cost for the private gallery option is $75.00 for most portrait sessions and is included in all wedding packages.
DIGITAL FILES VIA USB THUMB-DRIVE
Like the private gallery option, you'll receive your high-resolution digital files and a print release via USB Thumb-drive to print the images anywhere you see fit.
*The cost for the private gallery option is $75.00 for most portrait sessions and is include in all wedding packages.
We work closely with several of the nations leading prints labs to provide some of the most stunning print options and albums available. Since there are so many variables to consider when talking prints, this is where we like to take the time to discuss your needs and recommend the best option for you.
*Print and album options are available a la carte.
I'M HAVING TROUBLE DOWNLOADING...
WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO SHARE MY PICTURES?
So you've purchased the digital image files and have either downloaded them or have the USB Thumb-drive in hand. In either case, you'll notice you have "Original" and "Web-size" image files. Don't even bother trying to upload the original files online - they're intended for prints and they're way too big to upload and share. Plus, social media sites compress large images, making the resolution look crummy, and that's not what you paid for. The "Web-size" option includes files that are resized to 2048px and optimized to look incredible when shared online.
We LOVE it when clients share our images online! Just do us one favor when you share... you may notice that we don't watermark our images, so please tag us when possible or mention this website.
DON'T SHARE SCREEN SHOTS! Please. We're more that willing to help you obtain the web-size image files if you're not able to figure it out!
NO FILTERS NEEDED. There's a significant amount of time spent during the processing of your images to ensure a tasteful and timeless final image. Adding a tacky filter to the images only dates them and you'll be asked to remove the image from online.
CAN WE HAVE THE "RAW FILES"?
"I have a photo-editing program at home. Can I just have the raw files from our shoot?"
Answer: Nope. Sorry.
DO YOU HAVE A STUDIO?
We're often asked if we can produce "studio style" images. By this, clients are referring to indoor portraits.
The simple answer: No.
The complicated answer: While we have all of the professional studio lighting equipment required to produce gorgeous indoor portraits, it's just not really our cup of tea. Frankly, indoor portraits remind me of the type of portraits one would have taken at a JCPenny or Sears Portrait Center - and that's just not what we aim to create.
